The precision cutting and throughput efficiency of CNC shearing make it an ideal metal cutting service for a wide variety of industries. In our several decades of experience, we’ve provided precision metal components to customers in machine building, automation integration, trucking, electrical contracting, construction, agriculture, and many other industries.
As a non-thermal cutting method, CNC shearing is capable of cutting material up to 5/16” thick with relative ease. For any project requiring thicker material, our experts recommend utilizing laser cutting services as an alternative to maintain dimensional integrity and meet expedited deadlines.
Saw cutting is capable of cutting far thicker material and a wider variety of products depending on their end application. This includes items such as 12” tall steel I-beams, aluminum or steel planks, various tubing, pipe, extrusions, and other products up to 18” wide or 1’ tall.
CNC shearing and saw cutting are both relatively straightforward processes that do not require additional processing techniques, elaborate setups, or unique materials.
While a specific turnaround time is heavily dependent on the project volume, Midwest Metal Fabrications is capable of completing CNC shearing projects in less than a week. For a more detailed timeline regarding your project, please send us an email or give us a call so we can learn more about your project specifications and provide an accurate estimate.
There are no volume minimums or other limitations for CNC shearing or saw-cutting projects at Midwest Metal Fabrications. We specialize in low-volume prototyping jobs but have the necessary capacity to accommodate medium to large-volume projects.
